DNF at 56%. There is just so much inconsistency and dragging monologues that I can't take. It could have been good - the premise, I thought, was well-thought out and interesting, but there's just not much world-building to support it. AT more than halfway through, the nature of the Blues, Yellows, Greens, Reds, and Oranges weren't even thoroughly explained. How can I appreciate a book without such knowledge? The isolating the kids thing by their color and stuff seemed to me a lazy attempt to evade world building and it's just disappointing. The heroine, on the other hand, was really inconsistent, whiny and annoying, especially whenever she wallowed herself in self-pity. -_-
I'm sorry, this book isn't for me. I'm not saying it's bad, because it was well-written, just didn't like it.
